I attended a summer camp in NJ for 10 years and shot consistently each summer. At the age of 17 I started instructing and at the time I was teaching all of the classes for ages 5-10 years old.
Fast forward: when I was getting out of college I became an archery instructor at Gotham Archery for 2 years and became a part of their opening crew in the Manhattan location.
During those years I gained extensive bow knowledge and taught hundreds of classes, and thousands of students from all around NYC and the world.
I have been trained on multiple disciplines: traditional (recurve/longbow), compound, and even horsebow! and also learned how to teach knife/ax throwing! Recently I was instructing at Wild Captives in Industry City.
My favorite discipline is traditional English longbow and I have crafted my own wooden arrows while I was there!
I love the oppourtunity to teach such an empowering skill and believe it can be such an incredible skill to learn to add to life and art.
